A.D.D. Electrical Components Inspection

1. Inspect the Automatic Disconnecting Differential (A.D.D.) solenoids, as follows:

a. Measure the resistance of the solenoids.
Resistance: 37 - 44 ohms.

b. Connect the battery to the solenoid. Check that air flows from port E to port F and also check that air does not flow from port E to the air filter.

c. Disconnect the battery positive voltage from the solenoid. Check that air flows from port E to the air filter and also check that air does not flow from port E to port F.

2. Inspect A.D.D. relay, the continuity is shown in the chart above.
3. Inspect A.D.D. indicator switch, as follows:

a. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals when the switch when the switch is pushed (differential connected position).
b. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity when the switch is free (differential disconnected position).
4. Inspect transfer indicator switch, as follows:
a. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals between terminals when the switch is pushed (transfer 4WD position).

b. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals when switch is free (transfer H2 position).
