Lower Suspension Arm


Front Suspension - 4 WD:





REMOVAL
1. Remove front wheel.

Torque: 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).





2. Remove front shock absorber from lower suspension arm. Remove the front shock absorber lower side set nut.

Torque: 137 Nm (101 ft. lbs.).

3. Disconnect stabilizer bar from lower suspension arm.
4. Disconnect lower suspension arm from lower ball joint, as follows:
a. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut.

Torque: 142 Nm (105 ft. lbs.).





b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09628 - 62011 or equivalent, disconnect the lower suspension arm from the lower ball joint.

5. Remove the lower suspension arm, as follows:





a. Place matchmarks on the front and rear adjusting cams.





b. Remove the two nuts and adjusting cams and remove the lower suspension arm.

Torque: 196 Nm (145 ft. lbs.).

INSTALLATION NOTE: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nuts.

BUSHING REPLACEMENT





1. Using the 09726 - 27012 (09726 - 02051, 09726 - 02061) Special Service Tool (SST), remove the front and rear bushings from the lower suspension arm.





2. Using the 09726 - 27012 (09726 - 02041, 09726 - 02061) SST, install the front and rear bushings from the lower suspension arm.

NOTE: Do not apply grease or oil to the bushing.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: After installation, check the front wheel alignment.
