Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection

HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS INSPECTION
(Bank 1, Sensor 1, Bank 1 Sensor 2)

INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS
(a) Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.

Bank 1 Sensor 1:

Bank 1 Sensor 2:

(b) Using an ohmmeter. measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.

Resistance: At 20°C (68°F): 11 - 16 ohms

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.

Torque: 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)

(c) Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
