REAR DOOR COMPONENTS






REAR DOOR DISASSEMBLY
1. (w/o Power Window)
REMOVE REGULATOR HANDLE
Pull off the snap ring with a cloth and remove the regulator handle and the plate.






2. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
(a) Remove the screw. and slide the handle forward.
(b)85GDisconnect the handle from the control link and remove the handle.






3. REMOVE DOOR TRIM
(a) Remove 2 caps from the armrest.
(b) (w/ Power Window) Remove 2 screws from the armrest. (w/o Power Window) Remove 2 screws and the armrest.
(c) (w/ Power Window) Remove the armrest panel by pulling upward then disconnect the connectors.
(d) Insert a screwdriver between the retainers and trim to pry it loose.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(e) Remove the door trim.
(f) (w/ Power Window) Remove 7 screws and the armrest from the door trim.
(g) Remove the inner weatherstrip from the door trim






4. REMOVE SERVICE HOLE COVER
5. REMOVE OUTER WEATHERSTRIP
Pry loose the clips from the edge of the panel remove the outer weatherstrip.
6. REMOVE DIVISION BAR AND REAR LOWER FRAM
(a) Remove the glass run from the division bar
(b) Remove the screw under the weatherstrip
(c) Remove 3 bolts from the door panel.
(d) Pull out the division bar and the rear lower frame.






7. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS WITH WEATHERSTRIP
Remove the quarter window glass together with weatherstrip by pulling it forward.
8. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE LOCKING LINK PROTECTOR
9. REMOVE GLASS RUN
10. REMOVE INSIDE LOCKING KNOB AND CONTROL LINK






(a) Disconnect the control links from the locking knob and door lock.
(b) Remove the inside locking knob.
(c) Remove the screw and the control link.
11. REMOVE DOOR LOCK AND OUTSIDE HANDLE
(a) Disconnect the link from the outside handle.






(b) (w/ Power Door Lock) Disconnect the connector, remove 3 screws, the bolt and the door lock with the motor. (w/o Power Door Lock) Remove the 3 screws and the door lock.
(c) Remove 2 bolts and the outside handle.
REAR DOOR ASSEMBLY
1. BEFORE INSTALLING PARTS COAT THEM WITH MP GREASE
(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding surface and gears of the window regulator.

NOTICE: Do not apply MP grease to the spring of the window regulator.

(b) Apply MP grease to the sliding surface of the door lock.






2. INSTALL OUTSIDE HANDLE AND DOOR LOCK
(a) Install the handle with 2 bolts.
(b) (w/ Power Door Lock) Install the door lock with 3 screws and the bolt, then connect the connector. (w/o Power Door Lock) Install the door lock with 3 screws.
(c) Connect the links to the outside handle.






3. INSTALL LOCKING KNOB AND CONTROL LINK
(a) Install the inside locking knob.
(b) Connect the control link to the door lock and locking knob.
(c) Install the control link with the screw.
4. INSTALL GLASS RUN
5. PLACE DOOR INSIDE LOCKING LINK PROTECTOR
6. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW GLASS WEATHERSTRIP
7. INSTALL REAR LOWER FRAME AND DIVISION BAR






(a) Install the rear lower frame and the division bar with the screw and 3 bolts.
(b) Install the glass run to the division bar and the frame.
8. INSTALL OUTER WEATHERSTRIP
Insert the claw of the clips into the upper panel slit and push the weatherstrip onto the panel.






9. ADJUST DOOR GLASS
Adjust the equalizer arm up or down and tighten it where dimensions A and B, as shown are equal.






10. INSTALL SERVICE HOLE COVER
(a) Seal the service hole cover with adhesive
(b) Insert the lower edge of the service hole cover into the panel slit.
(c) Seal the panel slit with the cotton tape.

NOTICE: Do not block the trim clip sealing with the tape.

11. INSTALL DOOR TRIM
(a) Install the inner weatherstrip to the door trim.
(b) (w/ Power Window)
Install the armrest with 7 screws to the door trim.
(c) Install the door trim with retainers to the inside panel by tapping.
(d) (w/ Power Window)
Connect the connectors and install the armrest panel.
(e) (w/ Power Window)
Install 2 screws to the armrest. (w/o Power Window) Install the armrest with 2 screws.
(f) Install 2 caps to the armrest.
12. INSTALL DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
(a) Connect the handle to control link.
(b) Push the inside handle in the door panel, and slide it rearward.
(c) Install the screw.






13. (w/o Power Window)
INSTALL REGULATOR HANDLE
With door window fully closed, install the Plate and regulator handle with the snap ring, as shown.
