REMOVAL
1. Jack up and support the vehicle.
2. Remove both of the stabilizer bar links.
a. Remove the nuts and disconnect the stabilizer bar from the stabilizer bar links.
Torque: 69 Nm (51 ft. lbs.).
HINT: If the ball joint stud turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench to hold the stud.
b. Hold the stabilizer bar link with a wrench and remove the nuts, retainers, cushions and links.
Torque: 20 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
c. Remove the retainers and cushions from the stabilizer bar links.
3. Remove the stabilizer bar from rear axle housing.
Remove the four bolts and stabilizer bar with bushings and brackets.
Torque: 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following items.
- Install the bushing on the paint line on the stabilizer bar.
- Install the bushings to the stabilizer bar so that the cutout of the bushing face the under of the vehicle, as shown.
INSPECTION
Rotate the ball joint stud in all directions.
If the movement is not smooth and free, replace the stabilizer link.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
