Interior Light Switch: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from the interior light.
b. Turn the dome lamp switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.




c. Turn the interior light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and 3.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

w/o Sliding Roof:
INSPECT FRONT INTERIOR LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from the personal light.
b. Push the personal light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.




c. Turn the interior light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and 3.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.




w/ Sliding Roof:
INSPECT FRONT INTERIOR LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
a. Disconnect the connector from the personal light.
b. Push the personal light switch ON, check that continuity' exists between terminal 1 and 2.

w/o Personal Light:
INSPECT REAR NO.1 INTERIOR LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from the interior light.
b. Turn the interior light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and body ground.




c. Turn the interior light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

w/ Personal Light:
INSPECT REAR NO.1 INTERIOR LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from the personal light.
b. Push the personal light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 3.




c. Turn the interior light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and 3.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

INSPECT REAR NO.2 INTERIOR LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from the interior light.
b. Turn the interior light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and body ground.




c. Turn the interior light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
