Introduction
Some customers may have difficulty lowering or raising the spare tire using the lift. The lift may become damaged if an impact wrench is used to lower or raise the spare tire. A label has been added to warn against the usage of impact tools.

Applicable Vehicles
1998 - 2000 model year Sienna vehicles.

Repair Procedure

1. Inspect and operate the spare tire lift, using the jack handle, to assure proper operation. Replace the lift assembly, if damaged.





2. Install warning label on the floor, just forward of the drive nut.





Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
