EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. REMOVE EGR VALVE
2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR





3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Resistance:
64 - 97 K�ohms at 50°C (122°F)
11 - 16 K ohms at 100°C (212°F)
2 - 4 K ohms at 150°C (302°F)

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
4. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
5. REINSTALL EGR VALVE
