Heater Control

Heater Control Assembly:




COMPONENTS

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER
2. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL
3. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL




4. DISCONNECT HEATER CONTROL CABLES

5. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the A/C switch.
b. Pull out the heater control knobs.
c. Remove the heater control panel.




d. Remove the 3 screws and pull out the heater control assembly, then disconnect the connectors.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal

1. AFTER INSTALLATION, INSPECT HEATER CONTROL DEALS AND LEVER OPERATION
Move the control dials and lever left and right, check for stiffness and binding the full range of the lever and dials.
If there is stiffness or binding, proceed next step.

2. ADJUST HEATER CONTROL CABLES
a. Set the air inlet control lever on "FRESH" position.
b. Set the mode control dial on "FACE" position.
c. Set the temperature control dial on "MAX. COOL" position.




d. Adjust air inlet control cable.
Set the air inlet control door to "FRESH" position and connect the control cable and lock the clamp.

HINT: Lock the clamp during lightly pulling the outer cable in the direction, as shown in the illustration by an arrow.




e. Adjust mode cable.
Set the mode control door to "FACE" position and connect the control cable and lock the clamp.

HINT: Lock the clamp during lightly pulling the outer cable in the direction, as shown in the illustration by an arrow.




f. Adjust air mix control cable.
Set the air mix control door to "COOL" position and connect the control cable and lock the clamp.

HINT: Lock the clamp during lightly pushing the outer cable in the direction, as shown in the illustration by an arrow.




g. Adjust water valve control cable.
Set the temperature control door to "COOL" position and connect the control cable and lock the clamp.

HINT: Lock the clamp during lightly pushing the outer cable in the direction, as shown in the illustration by an arrow.
