EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection
1. REMOVE EGR VALVE2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance:
- At 50 °C (122 °F): 64 - 97 kOhms
- At 100 °C (212 °F): 11 - 16 kOhms
- At 150 °C (302 °F): 2 - 4 kOhms
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
4. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
5. REINSTALL EGR VALVE
