EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection
EGR Gas Temperature Sensor [Except Calif. Spec.]
1. REMOVE EGR VALVE
2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance:
at 50 °C (122 °F) 64 - 97 kohms
at 100 °C (212 °F) 11 - 16 kohms
at 150 °C (302 °F) 2 - 4 kohms
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
4. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
5. REINSTALL EGR VALVE
