REMOVAL
1. REMOVE UNDER COVER AND DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL
2. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFTS
3. DISCONNECT FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT FROM DIFFERENTIAL
HINT: Support the front propeller shaft securely.
4. REMOVE TUBE FROM DIFFERENTIAL
a. w/o A.D.D.: Disconnect the breather hose.
b. w/ A.D.D.: Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses, breather hose and A.D.D. switch connector.
c. w/o A.D. D.: Remove the bolt and tube from the differential.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
d. w/ A.D.D.: Remove the 2 bolts and tube from the differential.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
5. REMOVE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY
a. Support the front differential with a jack.
b. Remove the rear mounting nut.
Torque: 87 Nm (890 kgf-cm, 64 ft. lbs.)
c. Remove the 2 front mounting bolts.
Torque: 137 Nm (1,400 kgf-cm, 101 ft. lbs.)
d. Lower the jack and remove the front differential assembly.
6. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL MOUNTING CUSHIONS
a. Remove the 2 bolts and rear mounting cushion.
Torque: 108 Nm (1,100 kgf-cm, 80 ft. lbs.)
b. Remove the 5 bolts and 2 front mounting cushions.
Torque: 157 Nm (1,600 kgf-cm, 116 ft. lbs.)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
HINT: After installation, fill the differential with hypoid gear oil.
