Introduction

The 2001 Sienna has a dual power sliding door option. The dual power sliding door system may require re-initializing if:

^ One or both power sliding doors become inoperative, intermittently inoperative, do not close properly, or return to an open position while being closed.

^ The main battery power level becomes low, or the battery is disconnected, or if power to the sliding door motor becomes disconnected.

A procedure has been developed to re-initialize the dual power sliding door system.

NOTE:
The sliding door can always be operated manually, with the main power switch turned off.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
