Brake Fluid Level Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH
a. Remove the reservoir tank cap and strainer.
b. Disconnect the connector.
c. Check that no continuity exists between the terminals with the switch OFF (float up).
d. Use syphon, etc. to take fluid out of the reservoir tank.
e. Check that continuity exists between the terminals with the switch ON (float down).
f. Pour the fluid back in the reservoir tank.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

1 - 2 : Closed with the float down
C9 (B), D0 (A), C11 (C) COMBINATION METER
(B) 13 - GROUND : Approx. 12 volts with the ignition SW at ST position and the shift lever at P or N position
(B) 11, (A) 9 - GROUND : Approx. 12 volts with the ignition SW at ON position
(A) 13, (B) 7 - GROUND : Always approx. 12 volts
(B) 2, (A) 16, (C) 6 - GROUND : Always continuity
O1 OIL PRESSURE SW
1 - GROUND : Closed with the oil pressure above approx. 19.6 kpa (2.8 psi, 0.2 kgf/sq.cm)
P3 PARKING BRAKE SW
1 - GROUND : Closed with the parking brake pedal is depressed
W2 WATER TEMPERATURE SENDER
1 - GROUND : Approx. 160 - 240 ohm (50 °C, 122 °F)
Approx. 17.1 - 21.2 ohm (120 °C, 288 °F)
