Extension Housing

DISASSEMBLY





1. REMOVE OIL APPLY PIPE AND GASKET





2. REMOVE OIL SEAL
Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal.





3. REMOVE DUST DEFLECTOR
a. Mount the extension housing in a soft jaw vise.
b. Using a screwdriver and hammer, remove the dust deflector.

INSPECTION
INSPECT EXTENSION HOUSING BUSHING





Using a cylinder gauge, measure the inside diameter of the extension housing bushing.
Maximum inside diameter: 40.09 mm (1.5783 inch)
If the inside diameter is greater than the maximum, replace the extension housing.

REASSEMBLY





1. INSTALL DUST DEFLECTOR
Using a screwdriver and hammer, install a new dust deflector.





2. INSTALL OIL SEAL
Using SST and a hammer, install a new oil seal.
SST 09950-60020 (09951-00580), 09950-70010 (09951-07100)
Oil seal in depth: 6.0 ± 0.2 mm (0.236 ± 0.008 inch)





3. INSTALL OIL APPLY PIPE AND NEW GASKET
