Rear Bumper: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY
3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE




a. Remove the 4 clips.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear floor finish plate.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR RH (W/ MUDGUARD)




a. Remove the 4 screws and quarter panel mudguard rear.

5. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LH (W/ MUDGUARD)
6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER
a. Remove the 2 clips.
b. Remove the 2 screws and clips.




c. Remove the 4 screws and 4 nuts.




d. As shown in the illustration, insert a screwdriver between the rear bumper cover and rear bumper cover retainer.
e. Holding up the rear bumper cover, pull it to your side to disengage the claws.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




f. Using a screwdriver, press down the claws of the rear bumper cover retainer.
g. Holding up the rear bumper cover, pull it to your side to disengage the claws.




h. Holding up the rear bumper cover, pull it to your side to disengage the claws and remove the rear bumper cover.
