Seat Temperature Element: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER (FRONT) SWITCH







a. Inspect the seat heater switch LH continuity.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.







b. Inspect the seat heater switch RH continuity.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.







2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER RELAY
a. Inspect the seat heater relay continuity.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater seat heater relay.







3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT BACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Inspect the seatback heater assembly LH continuity.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the seatback heater.

4. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH







a. Inspect the seat back heater assembly LH continuity.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater cushion assembly.




b. Inspect the seat cushion thermostat continuity.
1. Disconnect the seat back heater from the seat cushion heater.
2. Heat the thermostat with a light.




3. Inspect the seat cushion heater continuity between terminal, as shown.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat heater cushion heater assembly.

5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT BACK HEATER ASSEMBLY RH
