Rear Seat
OVERHAULHINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal. But, the installation is indicated only when it has a point.
1. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSY
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the front part of deck board assembly.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSY RH
a. Remove the 4 clips.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 seat track covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Disconnect the connector.
d. Remove the 4 bolts and rear seat assembly RH.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSY LH
a. Remove the 3 clips.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 seat track covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Disconnect the connector.
d. Remove the 4 bolts and rear seat assembly LH.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.
4. REMOVE HEADREST ASSY, RR SEAT, RH
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSY CENTER
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSY LH
7. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK BOARD CARPET ASSY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat back board carpet assembly RH.
HINT: Tape the screw driver tip before use.
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK BOARD CARPET ASSY LH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat back board carpet assembly LH.
HINT: Tape the screw driver tip before use.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 reclining cover protectors.
b. Remove the 4 bolts and the rear seat cushion assembly RH.
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY LH
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER (RH side)
a. Disengage the seat cushion cover hook.
b. Remove the hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion frame RH.
c. Remove the hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.
d. Remove the seat wires from the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.
12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER (LH side)
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
13. REMOVE REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSY CENTER
a. Remove the screw and center armrest hinge cover.
b. Remove the bolt and rear seat armrest assembly center.
14. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Disconnect the reclining remote control cable, remove the rear seat lock control lever RH.
15. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSY LH
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
16. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear seat reclining covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 bolts.
c. Disconnect the reclining remote control cable from the adjuster, and remove the separate type rear seat back assembly RH.
17. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSY LH
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
18. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
19. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER (RH side)
a. Remove the seatback hooks.
b. Remove the 4 headrest supports.
c. Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.
d. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover RH from the seatback pad RH.
20. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSY OUTER CENTER
21. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER (LH side)
a. Remove the seatback hooks.
b. Remove the 2 headrest supports.
c. Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.
d. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover LH from the seatback pad LH.
22. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSY (RH side)
a. Remove the screw.
b. Remove the reclining remote control cable assembly RH.
23. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSY (LH side)
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
24. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSY INNER
a. Remove the bolt and rear seat assembly inner.
25. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSY INNER
a. Remove the bolt and rear seat assembly inner.
26. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING RH
a. Remove the 2 screws and rear seat cushion moulding RH.
27. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING LH
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
28. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING REAR RH
a. Remove the screw and rear seat cushion moulding rear RH.
29. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING REAR LH
a. Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.
30. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING ROD SUB-ASSY RH
31. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING PIPE RH
32. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING PIPE LH
33. INSTALL RECLINING CONNECTING ROD SUB-ASSY RH
a. Adjust the reclining lock positions of the seat adjusters.
b. Place the adjusters on a spacers to adjust the seat rails in parallel.
c. Combine the lower seatback frame and reclining connecting pipe.
d. Install the lower seatback frame and reclining connecting pipe.
e. Install the reclining connecting rod with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 18.0 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
34. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSY INNER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly inner LH with the bolt.
Torque: 42.0 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
35. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSY INNER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly inner RH with the bolt.
Torque: 42.0 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
36. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSY OUTER CENTER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly outer center to the rear seatback RH part of anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42.0 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
b. Install the rear seat belt assembly outer center to the rear seatback RH part of anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42.0 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
37. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER (RH side)
a. Install the seatback cover RH to the seatback pad RH with the new hog rings.
b. Install the rear seat back cover RH with pad to the seat back frame with the new hog rings.
HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.
38. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER (LH side)
a. Install the seatback cover LH to the seatback pad LH with the new hog rings.
b. Install the rear seat back cover LH with pad to the seat- back frame with the new hog rings.
HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.
39. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK ASSY RH
a. Mount the rear seatback assembly RH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Connect the reclining remote control cable and rear seat adjuster.
c. Install the 4 bolts.
Torque: 55.0 N.m (561 kgf.cm, 41 ft.lbf)
d. Install the rear seatback cover RH part of under hook.
e. Install the rear seat belt assembly outer center to the lower seatback frame with bolt.
Torque: 42.0 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
40. INSTALL REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSY CENTER
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
41. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK ASSY LH
a. Mount the rear seatback assembly RH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Connect the reclining remote control cable and rear seat adjuster.
c. Install the 4 bolts.
Torque: 55.0 N.m (561 kgf.cm, 41 ft.lbf)
d. Install the rear seatback cover RH part of under hook.
42. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER (RH side)
a. Install the seat cushion cover RH to the seat cushion pad RH with the new hog rings.
b. Install the rear seat cushion cover RH with pad to the seat cushion frame with the hog rings.
HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.
43. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER (LH side)
a. Install the seat cushion cover LH to the seat cushion pad LH with the new hog rings.
b. Install the rear seat cushion cover LH with pad to the seat cushion frame with the hog rings.
HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.
44. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY RH
a. Mount the rear seat cushion assembly RH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Install the 4 bolts.
Torque:
Upper bolts: 37.0 N.m (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
Lower bolts: 18.0 N.m (183 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
45. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY LH
a. Mount the rear seat cushion assembly LH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Install the 4 bolts.
Torque:
Upper bolts: 37.0 N.m (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
Lower bolts: 18.0 N.m (183 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
46. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSY RH
a. Mount the rear seat assembly RH to the vehicle.
b. Tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque: 36.7 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
47. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSY LH
a. Mount the rear seat assembly LH to the vehicle.
b. Tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque: 36.7 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
