Component Inspection

INSPECTION

1. FUEL SENDER GAGE ASSEMBLY







a. Check fuel sender gauge (main) resistance.
1. Remove the fuel sender gauge.
2. Measure resistance between terminals 2 and 3 of fuel sender gauge for each float position, as shown in the chart.




Standard resistance:




b. Check fuel sender gauge (sub) resistance.
1. Remove the fuel sender gauge.
2. Measure resistance between terminals of fuel sender gauge for each float position, as shown in the chart.

2. ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY




a. Check continuity.
1. Check that continuity exists between terminal and ground with the engine stopped.
2. Check that no continuity exists between terminal and ground with the engine running.

HINT: Oil pressure should be over 29 kPa (0.35 kgf/sq.cm, 4.3 psi).

3. FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH




a. Check continuity.
1. Disconnect the connector from seat belt inner belt RH.




2. Check continuity between terminals 1 and 4 when buckle switch condition, as shown in the chart.

4. FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH




a. Check continuity.
1. Disconnect the connector from seat belt inner belt RH.




2. Check continuity between terminals when buckle switch condition, as shown in the chart.

5. LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Check washer level warning switch continuity.
b. Check that no continuity exists between terminals with switch OFF (float up).
c. Check that continuity exists between terminals with switch OFF (float down).
