REPAIR PROCEDURE:
The following instructions are for replacing the lighting circuit board located within the video monitor (P/N C047A-20110-1) for 2002 and 2003 Sienna vehicles. Failure of the currently installed circuit board happens when the vehicle is electrically locked (door switch or key-fob button) and then electrically unlocked. The lighting board forgets the state of the lighting push buttons and turns on the interior lights, which can result in a dead battery.

2. Remove four mounting screws, carefully lower monitor away from roof.
3. Check for the presence of a large cylindrical component mounted horizontally on the circuit board. If this component is missing, proceed to change the circuit board.
4. Disconnect the lighting and audio/video cables from the monitor. Place the monitor on a flat work area.
5. Disconnect three connectors from lighting circuit board.
6. Remove three screws attaching lighting circuit board to the monitor housing.
7. Position new lighting circuit board on monitor housing and re-install three screws.
8. Re-attach three connectors to lighting circuit board.
9. Re-connect lighting and audio/video cables.
10. Loosely re-mount the monitor housing to the roof.
11. Test the lighting circuit board:
a) Close all doors

c) If the monitor lights are on, press the Light Switch to turn off the lights.
d) Press the Door Light button once. Open a door and verify that the monitor lights do not turn on.
e) Press the Door Light button once again. Verify that the monitor lights turn on.
