Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

YAW RATE SENSOR
REPLACEMENT

NOTICE:
^ Don't use the dropped or damaged yaw rate sensor.
^ Free from the forcing matters between yaw rate sensor bracket and body.
^ Make sure the sensor direction.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH





7. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR PROTECTOR
a. Remove the bolt and the sensor protector.





8. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and the yaw rate sensor.

NOTICE: Do not remove the yaw rate sensor from the yaw rate sensor bracket.





9. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.)
b. Connect the connector.





10. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR PROTECTOR
a. Install the sensor protector with the bolt.
Torque: 14 Nm (138 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.)
11. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH
12. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
14. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
17. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Programming and Relearning
18. CHECK IN THE TEST MODE
