Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection
INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSORa. Resistance inspection.
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals.
Resistance:
2.32 - 2.59 kOhm at 20°C (68°F)
0.310 - 0.326 kOhm at 80°C (176°F)
NOTE: When inspecting the water temperature sensor in water, prevent water flow into the terminals. After inspection, wipe the water off from the sensor.
