Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVALHINT:
- Do not use a dropped or damaged yaw rate sensor.
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body.
- Confirm that the sensor direction is correct.
1. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER FRONT
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER LH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. w/o Front Seat side Airbag and w/ Front Seat side Airbag.
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. w/o Front Seat side Airbag and w/ Front Seat side Airbag.
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER
8. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH
9. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH
10. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate.
b. Disconnect the connector. (w/ illumination scuff plate)
14. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH
a. Disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar garnish lower.
15. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Turn back the floor carpet, and remove the bolt, nut, clamp and yaw rate sensor.
b. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
NOTE: Do not remove the yaw rate sensor from the yaw rate sensor bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b. Install the yaw rate sensor with the bolt, nut, and clamp.
Torque: 13.5 N.m (138 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
2. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH
a. Engage the 2 clips and 3 claws, install the center pillar garnish lower.
3. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
5. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. Connect the connector. (w/ illumination scuff plate)
b. Engage the 4 claws and 2 clips, and install the rear door scuff plate.
6. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH
8. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH
9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER
10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. w/o Front Seat side Airbag and w/ Front Seat side Airbag.
11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. w/o Front Seat side Airbag and w/ Front Seat side Airbag.
12. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
13. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER FRONT
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
14. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER LH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
15. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. For Manual Seat and For Power Seat.
16. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
17. INSPECT ABS WARNING LIGHT AND VSC WARNING LIGHT
18. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
19. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the negative battery cable.
20. INSPECT POWER SEAT OPERATION (for Power Seat)
21. INSPECT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCK SIMULTANEOUSLY (for Manual Seat)
22. INSPECT SEAT HEATER (w/ Seat Heater System)
