Headlamp Alignment Switch: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH




a. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to the terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to the terminal 5
b. Measure the resistance between the terminal 4 and the battery negative (-) lead when headlight leveling switch is operated.




c. Measure the resistance between the terminal 5 and the battery negative (-) lead when headlight leveling switch is operated.
d. Inspect switch illumination.




1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to the terminal 3 and the battery negative (-9 lead to the terminal 6, and check that the illumination comes on.
