APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2004 - 2010 model year Sienna vehicles may exhibit an oil leak from the boots of the steering gear assembly. Use the repair procedure below to address this condition.

REQUIRED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Place the vehicle on a lift and confirm the leak is coming from the boots of the steering gear assembly.

2. Once the condition has been confirmed, remove the steering rack.





Refer to the ETAS/TIS library, applicable model year Sienna Repair Manual.

3. Install the NEW steering rack.





Refer to the ETAS/TIS library applicable model year Sienna Repair Manual.

4. Road test the vehicle to confirm that the oil leak is NO longer present and that the vehicle is aligned. Also verify that the steering wheel is centered and no other alignment or vehicle handling concerns are observed.
