Removal and Installation

Headlight Assembly:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE
3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER FILLER

5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the bolt and 3 screws.
b. Disconnect the 3 connectors, then remove the LH headlight assembly.

6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB
a. To remove the front turn signal light socket and bulb, turn them in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
b. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the light socket.

7. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB
a. To remove the clearance light bulb socket and bulb, turn them in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
b. Remove the clearance light bulb from the light socket.

8. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT, BULB

a. Remove the socket cover.

b. Push the set spring in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

c. Remove the No. 1 headlight bulb.

NOTE: Do not touch the bulb glass with your fingers.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT, BULB

a. Install the No. 1 headlight bulb.

b. Lock the set spring by moving it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

c. Install the socket cover.

2. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB
a. Install the clearance light bulb into the light socket.
b. To install the clearance light bulb socket and bulb, turn them in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

3. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB
a. Install the front turn signal light bulb into the light socket.
b. To install the front turn signal light bulb socket and bulb, turn them in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

4. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the 3 connectors.
b. Install the LH headlight assembly with the bolt and 3 screws.

Torque: 2.0 N.m (20 kgf.cm, 17 in.lbf)

5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER FILLER
6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
7. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)

10. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (for Using a Tester)
11. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (for Using a Screen)
