REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION, refer to Restraint Systems Service Precaution.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY (for Pedal Type Parking Brake)
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL HOLE COVER (for Lever Type Parking Brake)
5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET
7. SEPARATE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUBASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE NO.1 LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT LOWER PANEL LH
10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE SWITCH BASE HOLE COVER




a. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the switch base hole cover.

13. REMOVE AIRBAG CUT OFF SWITCH




a. Disconnect the airbag cut off switch connector.
b. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel subassembly center while holding the 2 claws of the airbag cut off switch.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AIRBAG CUT-OFF SWITCH




a. Engage the 2 claws of the cut off switch with the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly center.
b. Attach the connector to the airbag cut off switch.

2. INSTALL SWITCH BASE HOLE COVER




a. Disengage the 3 claws and install the switch base hole cover.

3. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT LOWER PANEL LH
6. INSTALL NO.1 LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
7. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUBASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET
9. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL HOLE COVER (for Lever Type Parking Brake)
11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY (for Pedal Type Parking Brake)
12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)

13. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
