DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. BUS CHECK
a. for Intelligent Tester:




1. Select "CAN BUS CHECK" from the "OBD/MOBD MENU".

HINT: The ECUs and sensors that are properly connected to the CAN communication system can be displayed.




2. Press "ENTER".




3. Press "ENTER".




4. The screen displays the ECUs and sensors that are properly connected to the CAN communication system.

HINT: There is a communication stop in the system of any properly connected ECUs or sensors that are not displayed.

b. for Techstream:
1. Select "CAN Bus Check" from the "System Select".

2. CHECK INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS AND SENSORS) THAT USE CAN COMMUNICATION




a. Systems (ECUs and sensors) that use CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs and sensors) are installed on the vehicle.

3. DTC TABLE BY ECU

HINT:
- In the CAN communication system, CAN communication system DTCs output by the ECU can be displayed by using the intelligent tester or Techstream.
- If CAN communication system DTCs are output, the trouble cannot be determined solely from the DTCs. Perform troubleshooting according to "HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING". How to Proceed With Troubleshooting




a. MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

HINT: DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.




b. MAIN BODY ECU

HINT: DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.




c. ECM
For Vehicle with 2UZ-FE only.

HINT: DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.




d. SKID CONTROL ECU WITH ACTUATOR

HINT: DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.




e. COMBINATION METER ECU

HINT: DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.




f. AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER

HINT: DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.

g. STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

HINT: The steering angle sensor is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

h. CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR

HINT: The center airbag sensor is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

i. 4WD CONTROL ECU
For vehicle with 4 wheel drive only.

HINT: The 4WD control ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

j. BUS BUFFER ECU
For vehicle with bus buffer ECU only.

HINT: The bus buffer ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

k. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH LH
For vehicle with front power seat control system (w/ Seat memory) only.

HINT: The front power control seat ECU and switch LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

l. OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU
For vehicle with front power seat control system (w/ Seat memory) only.

HINT: The outer mirror control ECU and switch LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.
