Heated Oxygen Sensor
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
- After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUBASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck).
3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck).
4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (except Regular Cab Standard Deck)
5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
a. Using SST, remove the sensor.
SST 09224-00010
7. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
a. Using SST, remove the sensor.
SST 09224-00010
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
a. Using SST, install the sensor.
Torque: without SST 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) with SST 40 N.m (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf)
HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.). If using a torque wrench with a length that is not 30 cm (11.8 in.), calculate the torque specification for the torque wrench and SST based on the "without SST" torque specification.
- Make sure SST and wrench are connected in a straight line.
2. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (except Regular Cab Standard Deck)
5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck)
6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUBASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck)
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
