TSB REVISION NOTICE:
- July 31, 2008: The Repair Procedure has been expanded. Any previous TSB should be discarded.

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2007 model year Tundra vehicles may exhibit a M.I.L. "ON" condition with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0412, P0415, P0418, P0419, P2445, or P2447. This concern may be caused by the air injection control driver. Use the following procedure to address the customer's concern.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Using Techstream, check If DTC P0412 and/or P0415, P0418, P0419, P2445, P2447 are present.
2. Using Techstream, perform the manual Air Injection Active Test (options 1 and 2) to verify if the signal from the air injection control driver is reaching the air pumps. A properly functioning Secondary Air Injection System will show an increase in the Air Pressure (gauge) value from 0 to 1 psi as shown on Techstream.

If the signal reached the pump and there was a pressure increase, the driver may NOT be the issue. Go to step 5.
If the signal did NOT reach the pump and NO pressure increase occurred, go to step 3.

3. Measure the resistance and voltage of the air injection control power source circuit.

4. If any value in the preceding step is out of specification, replace the air injection control driver.

5. If the air injection driver is within specification or the DTCs are still present after replacement, inspect the air injection system.
