Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat)
DISASSEMBLYCAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH
a. Apply protective tape around the cushion shield.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
a. Remove the hog rings and rubber bands of the seatback cover from the seat frame.
b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Remove the 3 screws.
d. Detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.
e. Disconnect the switch connectors.
4. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH LH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster)
a. Remove the 2 screws and switch.
5. REMOVE LEG SUPPORT ADJUSTMENT SWITCH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)
a. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and remove the 2 screws and switch.
b. Disconnect the switch connector.
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
7. REMOVE INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
a. Remove the screw.
b. Detach the 2 claws and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.
8. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH
a. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
b. w/o Seat Position Memory System:
Disconnect the switch connector.
c. Remove the 3 screws and switch.
9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD LH
a. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
b. Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
c. Disconnect the seat heater control connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
d. Remove the hog rings and detach the hooks.
e. Remove the seat cushion cover wire.
f. Remove the seat cushion cover with pad from the seat frame.
g. w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch:
1. Remove the hog rings.
2. Bend the seat frame claws upward.
3. Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.
10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH
a. Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover.
b. w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch:
Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover.
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
a. Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seat heater to the seat cushion cover, and then remove the seat cushion heater from the seat cushion cover.
12. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH
a. Detach the hook.
b. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover wires.
c. Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.
d. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
e. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover with pad.
13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER LH
a. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover wires.
b. Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.
c. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.
14. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
a. Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seat heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.
15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
a. Remove the screw and detach the claw, and then remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.
16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
a. Remove the screw and detach the claw, and then remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.
17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Detach the claw and remove the seatback shield.
18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Detach the claw and remove the seatback shield.
19. REMOVE LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
a. Remove the screw.
b. Detach the hook and remove the cushion shield lower.
20. REMOVE LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH
a. Remove the screw.
b. Detach the hook and remove the cushion shield lower.
21. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster)
a. Remove the 2 springs.
b. Detach the 6 hooks and remove the seatback spring.
c. Disconnect the lumbar support adjuster connector.
d. Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster.
e. Detach the 3 claws and remove the bush from the seat frame.
22. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
a. Disconnect the seat heater control connector and detach the clamp.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the seat heater control.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
23. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)
a. Disconnect the 2 ECU connectors.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the ECU.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
24. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR
25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH
REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH
2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR
3. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)
a. Attach the claw to install the ECU.
b. Connect the 2 ECU connectors.
4. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
a. Attach the claw to install the seat heater control.
b. Attach the clamp and connect the seat heater control connector.
5. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster)
a. Attach the 3 claws to install the bush.
b. Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.
c. Connect the lumbar support adjuster connector.
d. Attach the 6 hooks to install the seatback spring.
e. Install the 2 springs.
6. INSTALL LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER RH
a. Attach the hook to install the cushion shield lower.
b. Install the screw.
7. INSTALL LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
a. Attach the hook to install the cushion shield lower.
b. Install the screw.
8. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH
a. Attach the claw to install the seatback shield.
b. Install the 2 screws.
9. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH
a. Attach the claw to install the seatback shield.
b. Install the 2 screws.
10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
a. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover.
b. Install the screw.
11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
a. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover.
b. Install the screw.
12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
a. Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.
b. Install the seatback heater with the tack pins.
13. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER LH
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
b. Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.
c. Install the seatback cover wires.
d. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seatback pad.
14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH
a. Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback frame.
b. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seat frame.
c. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.
d. Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
CAUTION: After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.
e. Install the seatback cover wires.
f. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seat frame.
g. Attach the hook.
15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
a. Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.
b. Install the seat cushion heater with the tack pins.
16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
b. w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch:
Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD LH
a. w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch:
1. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.
2. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings.
3. Bend the seat frame claws downward.
b. Install the seat cushion cover with pad to the seat frame.
c. Install the seat cushion cover wire.
d. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings and attach the hooks.
HINT: When installing the leg support hog rings, press the seat cushion cover with pad against the seat frame.
e. Connect the seat heater control connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
f. Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
g. Install the 2 clips.
18. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH
a. Install the switch with the 3 screws.
b. Connect the 2 switch connectors.
c. w/o Seat Position Memory System:
Connect the switch connector.
19. INSTALL INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
a. Attach the 2 claws and clip to install the cushion shield.
b. Install the screw.
20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
21. INSTALL LEG SUPPORT ADJUSTMENT SWITCH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)
a. Connect the switch connector.
b. Install the switch with the 2 screws.
c. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
22. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH LH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster)
a. Install the switch with the 2 screws.
23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
a. Connect the switch connectors.
b. Attach the 2 claws to install the cushion shield.
c. Install the 3 screws.
d. Install the 2 screws.
e. Using hog ring pliers, install the rubber band of the seatback cover to the seat frame with new hog rings.
24. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH
a. Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.
25. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH
a. Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.
