ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK MASS AIR FLOW METER
a. Check the mass air flow value.
1. Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Push the intelligent tester or Techstream main switch ON.

4. Enter the following menus:
- Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST / PRIMARY / MAF.
- Techstream - Select: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data / MAF.




5. Blow air into the MAF meter, and check that the MAF value fluctuates.

If the result is not as specified, check the MAF meter, or wiring and ECM.
