BRAKE: FRONT BRAKE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
NOTE: While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore, during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTE: If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface of the vehicle, wash off and remove it completely.

3. DISCONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE

(a) Remove the bolt and gasket, and disconnect the front flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
4. REMOVE DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Hold the front disc brake cylinder slide pins and remove the 2 bolts and disc brake cylinder assembly.
NOTE: Remove the disc brake cylinder assembly while holding both of the brake pads because of the anti-squeal springs may fall off the brake pads.
