BRAKE: REAR BRAKE: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
NOTE: While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore, during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the rear disc brake cylinder assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder mounting with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 34 Nm (347 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)
2. CONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE
(a) Connect the rear flexible hose to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly with the union bolt and a new gasket.
Torque: 33 Nm (336 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf)
3. BLEEDING PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before bleeding Service Precautions.
4. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Replacement
5. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM Replacement
6. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
7. PERFORM ACCUMULATOR ZERO DOWN Replacement
8. INSPECT AND ADJUST FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR On-Vehicle Inspection
9. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE AND PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments
10. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
11. CLEAR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
12. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs. If any DTC is output, perform the troubleshooting for that DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
