WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER METER OPERATION)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Power switch on (READY).
(c) Turn the tester ON.
(d) Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the operation by referring to the table below.
Combination Meter:
OK:
Power meter gauge indication is normal.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the E1 and D35 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (OUTPUT VOLTAGE)
(a) Reconnect the E1 connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (WAVEFORM)
(a) Check the signal waveform.
(1) Remove the combination meter assembly with connector still connected.
(2) Connect an oscilloscope to the terminals E1-27 (PMTI) and body ground.
(3) Reconnect the D35 connector.
(4) Depress the brake pedal, and turn the power switch on (READY).
(5) Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.
NG -- GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
