Back-up Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The hybrid vehicle control ECU receives the shift lever position sensor R signal to control the back-up light relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FUSE (GAUGE NO. 1)
(a) Remove the GAUGE NO. 1 fuse from the engine room relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BACK-UP LIGHT RELAY
(a) Remove the back-up light relay from the engine room relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RELAY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the D36 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
(b) Remove the back-up relay from the engine room relay block.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
(a) Reconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - RELAY)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY - RELAY)
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BULB - RELAY AND BODY GROUND)
