P310 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

2. DRAIN HYBRID TRANSAXLE FLUID P310 Hybrid Transaxle

3. SEPARATE OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Separate the 2 oil cooler hoses from the oil cooler tubes.
(b) Remove the bolt and oil cooler tube with bracket.






(c) Using a union nut wrench 17 mm and a wrench, separate the oil cooler tubes.






(d) Remove the bolt and clamp, and separate the 2 oil cooler tubes.
4. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY






(a) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.






(b) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws, and disconnect the control cable with clip from the control cable bracket.
HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the clip.
5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR






(a) Disconnect the shift lever position sensor connector.






(b) Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever.






(c) Using a screwdriver, pry out the lock plate.






(d) Remove the lock nut and lock plate.






(e) Remove the 2 bolts and pull out the shift lever position sensor.
