Window Regulator: Testing and Inspection
WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR: INSPECTION
INSPECTION
1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
(a) Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.
NOTE:
- Do not apply voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2, to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.
- Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.
3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH Side)
(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.
4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH Side)
(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator motor assembly.
