Back Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The fold seat control ECU receives signals from the back door courtesy switch and detects the state of the back door (open/close). If the ECU does not detect that the back door is open, the seat stowing and return functions are not available.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU
(a) Remove the fold seat control ECU with connectors still connected.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
LH side
RH side
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the connector from the back door courtesy switch.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the connectors from the fold seat control ECU.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
LH side
RH side
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU
