Fold Seat Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the fold seat switch is operated, a switch operation signal is sent to the fold seat control ECU. The ECU receives switch operation signals from each switch and activates the folding motor, reclining motor, and release actuator.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU





(a) Remove the fold seat control ECU with connectors still connected.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
LH side






RH side





OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FOLD SEAT SWITCH
(a) Remove the fold seat switch.





(b) Disconnect the connector from the fold seat switch.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
LH side






RH side





NG -- REPLACE FOLD SEAT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT SWITCH - FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU)





(a) Disconnect the connector from the fold seat control ECU.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
LH side






RH side






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH - FOLD SEAT SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the connector from the back door courtesy switch.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
LH side






RH side






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH - BODY GROUND)





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
