Rear Speed Sensor

BRAKE CONTROL: REAR SPEED SENSOR (for 4WD): INSPECTION

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT REAR SPEED SENSOR
(a) Remove the seat cushion and seatback.
(b) Disconnect the speed sensor connector.






(c) Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the speed sensor connector.
OK:
Resistance
1.1 +- 0.2 kOhms at 25 +- 5 °C
(d) Measure the resistance between each of terminals 1 and 2 of skid control sensor connector and body ground.
OK:
Resistance
1 MOhms or higher
NOTE: Check the speed sensor signal last ABS (Antilock Brake System).
