Repair Procedure
1. Using TIS techstream, confirm the condition by checking if DTCs C2115 and/or C2125 are stored in the TPWS ECU.
System Select > Tire Pressure Monitor > Trouble Codes
^ If DTCs C2115 and/or C2125 are stored, go to step 2.
^ If other DTCs are stored in the TPWS ECU, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year Tundra or Sienna Repair Manual, Suspension - Tire Pressure Monitoring - "Tire and Wheel: Tire Pressure Warning System: Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart".
2. Remove and replace the TPWS ECU Assembly.
NOTE:
Before removing the TPWS ECU, record all four tire pressure warning valve/sensor ID numbers from the TPWS ECU Data List using the TIS techstream:
System Select > Tire Pressure Monitor > Data List
Refer to TIS, applicable model year Tundra or Sienna Repair Manual:
^ Suspension - Tire Pressure Monitoring - "Tire and Wheel: Tire Pressure Warning ECU: Removal"
^ Suspension - Tire Pressure Monitoring - "Tire and Wheel: Tire Pressure Warning ECU: Installation"
3. Using TIS techstream, register the tire pressure warning valve/sensor ID numbers into the NEW ECU.
System Select > Tire Pressure Monitor > Utility > ID Registration
NOTE:
If one or more of the tire pressure warning valve/sensor ID numbers is registered incorrectly, the Tire Pressure Warning Light will blink for one minute then turn "ON" and DTC C2126 (Transmitter ID Not Received in Main Mode) will be stored in the TPWS ECU.
When the TPWS ECU successfully receives radio wave signals from all the transmitter ID numbers that are stored in the ECU, DTC C2126 is deleted and the Tire Pressure Warning Light turns OFF.
4. Re-initialize any affected power systems.
^ For 2007 model year Sienna or Tundra: Refer to TSB No. PD010-07, Power System Initialization During PDS".
^ For 2008 model year Sienna: Refer to the following TSBs:
^ TSB No. PD074-07, Initialization of Power Back Door During PDS"
^ TSB No. PD075-07, Initialization of Power Sliding Door During PDS"
^ TSB No. PD077-07, Initialization of Driver's Door Power Window During PDS"
^ TSB No. PD110-07, Initialization of Moon Roof During PDS"
If the TPWS Light comes "ON" after 20 minutes of driving, repeat step 1.
