APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2008 - 2010 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Rear Chrome Bumper develops rust on the surface. An improved part has been made available to address this condition for vehicles equipped with a Rear Chrome Bumper.

PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:

This TSB applies to:
- ALL 2008 - 2010 MY NUMMI built (WMI = 5TE) vehicles.
- 2008 - 2010 MY TMMBC built vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

Please confirm proper VDS number (underlined digits in VIN).

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Remove the rear bumper.

Refer to ETAS / TIS Library, applicable model year Tacoma Repair Manual:
- 2008 / 2009 / 2010 Tacoma:
Vehicle Exterior - Exterior Panels/Trim - "Exterior: Rear Bumper: Removal

2. Install the NEW rear bumper in the reverse order.
