Applicability

Introduction

Some 2008 - 2010 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Rear Chrome Bumper develops rust on the surface. An improved part has been made available to address this condition for vehicles equipped with a Rear Chrome Bumper.

Production Change Information

This TSB applies to:

^ ALL 2008 - 2010 MY NUMMI built (WMI = 5TE) vehicles.

^ 2008 - 2010 MY TMMBC built vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the rear bumper.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model year Tacoma Repair Manual:

^ 2008 / 2009 / 2010 Tacoma:
Vehicle Exterior - Exterior Panels/Trim - "Exterior Rear Bumper: Removal"

2. Install the NEW rear bumper in the reverse order.
