INTRODUCTION:
Some 2005 - 2010 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a squeal noise from the blower motor when set to low speed during low ambient temperatures. A newly designed blower motor has been made available to improve this condition.
APPLICABILITY:
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
This TSB applies to all 2005 - 2009 and to 2010 Tacoma vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the 2 clips and the blower motor 2 pin connector as shown in Figure 1.
3. Remove the 3 bolts and remove the blower motor as shown in Figure 2.
4. Install the NEW blower motor and the 3 bolts as shown in Figure 2.
5. Connect the 2 pin blower motor connector and the 2 clips as shown in Figure 1.
6. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
7. Confirm the blower motor operates correctly and the squeal noise is no longer present.
