INTRODUCTION:
Some customers may experience a distortion noise from the JBL sub-woofer. This condition can occur when listening to the CD, Satellite, or Auxiliary audio modes. An updated JBL amplifier is available to address this situation.

This TSB applies to all 2005 - 2009 Double Cab Tacoma vehicles equipped with JBL subwoofers and produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Order a replacement amplifier through the JBL exchange program.
2. Remove the original JBL amplifier. Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:

4. After replacing the amplifier, confirm that the audio distortion noise condition is no longer present.
