Removal








WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: WINDSHIELD GLASS:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (Removal)

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM LH (Removal)

4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM RH (Removal)

5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH (Removal)

6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH

HINT: Follow the same procedures as for the fender to cowl side seal LH.

7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (Removal)

8. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (Removal)

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Separate the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent which allows the removal of the front pillar garnish.
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

HINT: Follow the same procedures as for the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

11. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (for Regular Cab) ()

12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (for Access Cab) (Removal)

13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (for Double Cab) (Removal)

14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (for Regular Cab)

HINT: Follow the same procedures as for the front pillar garnish LH.

15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (for Access Cab)

HINT: Follow the same procedures as for the front pillar garnish LH.

16. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (for Double Cab)

HINT: Follow the same procedures as for the front pillar garnish LH.

17. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Access Cab) (Removal)

27. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER (for Regular Cab) ()

30. REMOVE WINDSHIELD UPPER MOLDING OUTER
(a) Using a knife, cut off the windshield upper moulding outer, as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body with the knife.

(b) Remove the windshield upper moulding outer.

HINT: Make a partial cut in the windshield upper moulding outer. Then pull and remove it by hand.

31. REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS





(a) Apply protective tape to the outer circumference of the windshield glass, as shown in the illustration.
(b) From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and windshield glass, as shown in the illustration.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.

NOTICE:
- When separating the windshield glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicle's paint or exterior/interior ornaments.
- To prevent the safety pad from being scratched when removing the windshield glass, place a plastic sheet between the piano wire and safety pad.

(d) Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the windshield glass.





(e) Disengage the 2 stoppers.
(f) Using suction cups, remove the windshield glass.

NOTE: Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the windshield glass.
