Removal








2UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR:

REMOVAL

CAUTION:
- The procedures should be performed by at least 2 people.
- Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.
- The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
- Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Repair Instruction - Initialization).
- After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR (for 4WD) (Removal)

3. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) ()

4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Regular Cab Standard Deck) (Removal)

5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (Removal)

6. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (Removal)

7. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
