3UR-FE STARTING: IGNITION SWITCH:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Repair Instruction - Initialization).
- After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
(a) for Manual Tilt:
Remove the steering column assembly (Removal).
(b) for Manual Tilt and Telescopic:
Remove the steering column assembly (Removal).
(c) for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic:
Remove the steering column assembly (Removal).
3. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN WITH SWITCH BRACKET ASSEMBLY (for Manual Tilt) (Disassembly)

4. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN WITH SWITCH BRACKET ASSEMBLY (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column) (Disassembly)

5. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN WITH SWITCH BRACKET ASSEMBLY (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column) (Disassembly)

6. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (Disassembly)
