Installation

INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING (for Double Cab):

INSTALLATION

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts).

1. PLACE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) Place the roof headlining into the cabin as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
- Place the headlining in the cabin so that it will not be damaged.
- Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when placing it in the cabin.

2. INSTALL BACK WINDOW ASSEMBLY (Installation)

3. CHECK FOR LEAKS AND REPAIR (Installation)

4. INSTALL REAR ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH ()

5. INSTALL REAR ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

6. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the 4 clips to install the headlining.

(b) Connect the roof wire connector and attach each clamp.

(2) Attach the 2 claws to install the inner rear view mirror cover.

7. INSTALL COAT HOOK

HINT: Use the same procedure to install the coat hook on the other side.

(a) Install the clip and cap to the coat hook, as shown in the illustration.
(b) Install the coat hook.

8. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP PLUG
(a) Install a new assist grip plug.

9. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the 2 clips and 2 covers to the assist grip, as shown in the illustration.
(b) Install the assist grip.

10. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER (w/o Illumination)
(a) Install the visor holder with the screw.

HINT: Use the same procedure to install the visor holder on the other side.

11. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) w/o Illumination:
Install the visor.
(1) Install the visor with the 3 screws.

(b) w/ Illumination:
Install the visor.
(1) Connect the connector.
(2) Install the visor with the 4 screws.
12. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

13. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the visor bracket cover.
14. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

15. INSTALL ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Short Type Roof Console Box)
(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the room light.
(c) Attach the 4 claws to install the lens.

16. INSTALL ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
(a) for Short Type:
Install the roof console box (Installation).
(b) for Long Type:
Install the roof console box (Installation).
17. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Pass the rear seat outer belt floor anchor through the quarter trim panel.
(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the quarter trim panel.
(c) Install the 2 bolts.

(d) Attach the claw to install the cover.
18. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

19. INSTALL LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 6 clips to install the quarter trim panel.

(b) Install the outer lap belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
20. INSTALL LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

21. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Slide the plate in the direction shown in the illustration and attach the 6 claws to install the plate.
22. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

23. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish.
(b) Attach the claw to install the center pillar garnish.
(c) Install the 2 screws.
(d) Install the assist grip with the 2 bolts.
(e) Attach the 2 claws to install the 2 assist grip plugs.

24. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

25. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Attach the 7 clips and 2 claws to install the center pillar garnish.

(b) Install the outer lap belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
26. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

27. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Attach the claw to install the front pillar garnish.
(b) Install the assist grip with the 2 bolts.
(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the 2 assist grip plugs.

29. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

33. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.
(b) Install the clip.

35. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Attach the 6 claws and 2 clips to install the scuff plate.
36. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

37. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Attach the 6 claws and 3 clips to install the scuff plate.
38. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

39. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Double Cab)
(a) Install the rear seat (Installation).
40. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Center Seat)
(a) Install the front seat (Installation).
41. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
(a) Install the front seat (Installation).
42. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
(a) Install the front seat (Installation).
43. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Repair Instruction - Initialization).

44. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light (Diagnosis System).
